Briefing for Independent MBKM Internship Participants of the Undergraduate Program in Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University

Denpasar – The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, through the Undergraduate Program in Animal Husbandry, organized a Briefing Session for Independent MBKM Internship Participants on Thursday–Friday, September 11–12, 2025. The event was held online via Zoom Meeting and attended by 115 participants.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Dr. I Nyoman Sumerta Miwada, S.Pt., M.P. In his opening remarks, he stated, “This briefing session is essential to ensure that students have a clear understanding of the technical procedures, regulations, and competencies expected from the Independent MBKM Internship Program. With this preparation, I hope students can participate responsibly, with discipline and professionalism.”

On the first day, participants received materials on the following topics:

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Independent MBKM Internship

  • Guidelines for Completing the SIMAK Logbook

  • Management of Non-Ruminant Livestock

  • Management of Ruminant Livestock

Meanwhile, the second day covered more practical topics, including:

  • Livestock Waste Processing Technology

  • Feed Supply and Feeding Strategies

  • Livestock Agribusiness

  • Livestock Breeding and Reproduction Management

As part of the evaluation, a post-test was conducted at the end of the session to assess participants’ understanding of the presented materials.

The event was concluded by the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Program in Animal Husbandry, Dr. Ir. Ni Luh Putu Sriyani, S.Pt., M.P., IPU., ASEAN Eng. In her closing remarks, she expressed, “I truly appreciate the enthusiasm of all participants who have actively taken part in this session. The knowledge gained should not only be understood but also applied during the internship period. By doing so, students can sharpen their skills and enhance their competencies to support the achievement of the graduate profile of the Undergraduate Program in Animal Husbandry.”

Through this briefing session, it is expected that all participants of the Independent MBKM Internship will be well-equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and professional attitude to carry out their internship effectively and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of animal husbandry science.
