Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University Visits PT Mitra Sinar Jaya

Denpasar, March 5, 2025 – In an effort to enhance human resource knowledge in the field of poultry farming (closed house system) and keep up with the latest developments in the livestock industry, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University (Fapet Unud) conducted an industrial visit to PT Mitra Sinar Jaya (PT MSJ) located at Jalan Maruti No.16, Pemecutan Kaja, North Denpasar District, Denpasar City, Bali.

The visit was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, along with the Vice Dean II, Closed House Managers (Wijana and Wirawan), Administrative Coordinator, and UPIKS Coordinator. This visit aimed to reciprocate several previous visits by PT MSJ to Fapet Unud, as well as serve as the Dean's inaugural visit to PT MSJ at Jalan Maruti. Additionally, the visit provided an opportunity to further discuss various aspects of poultry farm management based on closed house technology.

In her speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, expressed gratitude to PT MSJ for hosting the visit. She also emphasized the importance of collaboration between both parties in supporting the development of a more advanced and sustainable livestock sector.

A representative from PT Mitra Sinar Jaya, Mr. Fauzy, stated that the collaboration between PT MSJ and the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University has been ongoing since late 2019. Through this partnership, valuable experiences and insights have been gained, particularly regarding modern poultry house management systems based on closed house technology. He highlighted that the existence of the closed house system provides students with valuable knowledge on professional poultry farm management that is profit-oriented, improving production efficiency and animal welfare through optimal temperature, humidity, ventilation, and lighting control.

The discussion also covered the evaluation and strengthening of the cooperation between the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, and PT Mitra Sinar Jaya to support future developments in the livestock industry.

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University remains committed to providing industry-based learning experiences to support the advancement and sustainability of the livestock sector.
