Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unud Holds Piodalan in Padmasana Bukit Jimbaran, Coinciding with the Fifth Full Moon
The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University (Fapet Unud) held a piodalan at Padmasana Fapet Unud, Bukit Jimbaran, on Saturday, November 16 2024. This piodalan coincided with the celebration of the Fifth Full Moon, which is one of the holy days for Hindus. This activity was attended by the entire Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unud academic community, including lecturers, education staff and students. This piodalan began with a joint prayer as a form of gratitude and request to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa so that all educational activities at the Unud Faculty of Animal Husbandry would be given smoothness, blessings and prosperity.
The full moon is a special moment in the Hindu calendar, where people perform prayers as a form of yadnya to Sang Hyang Chandra. On this day, Hindus ask that all sins and mental impurities committed during life be melted away, thereby achieving inner and outer purity. This purity is not only realized through physical cleanliness, but also in good thoughts, words and deeds to achieve true happiness.
The main piodalan event lasts for approximately three hours, starting at 10.00 WITA until 13.00 WITA. A solemn and family atmosphere was visible when all participants prayed together at Padmasana. This activity is not only a spiritual moment to get closer to God, but also strengthens relations between the academic community within the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unud. This Piodalan at the Fifth Purnama is a concrete manifestation of the commitment of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University to maintain religious values ??while seeking protection and blessings for the continuity of all academic activities.
