Faculty Senate Meeting of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, Discusses Academic Ethics and Approval of Faculty Promotion Proposals
The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, held a Faculty Senate Meeting on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Forage Plant Research and Development Center Meeting Room, Sudirman Campus. The meeting, chaired by the Senate Chairperson, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Suarna, M.S., was attended by 16 out of 21 senate members.
The main agenda included discussions on academic ethics, the approval of proposals for academic rank and promotion, as well as suggestions and feedback from senate members.
During the academic ethics session, the senate discussed the importance of maintaining the integrity of scientific publications in light of recent ethical warnings issued to several universities. The senate also emphasized the need for adherence to regulations regarding faculty and student supervision and welcomed the dean’s initiative in issuing formal supervision decrees for junior lecturers. In addition, the faculty’s readiness for reaccreditation of its three flagship study programs was also conveyed.
Regarding the promotion proposals, the senate confirmed that all submitted documents had been carefully reviewed in accordance with regulations and were approved for further processing. The approvals covered promotions to Associate Professor and Full Professor ranks, as well as civil service grade promotions from IV/b to IV/e. All attending senate members expressed unanimous agreement, and the meeting minutes were submitted digitally to the Faculty’s General Affairs Section.
This senate meeting reflects the Faculty of Animal Husbandry’s commitment to upholding academic quality, strengthening integrity, and fostering faculty professionalism through a transparent and principled process.
