"Lanang Swastika: Organic Fertilizer and Rhizobium Boost the Quality of Greens in Post-Mining Land in Karangasem"
The Doctoral Study Program (S3) in Animal Science, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, has again produced its 67th Doctor in the field of Animal Science, I Gusti Lanang Swastika, a Civil Servant in the Karangasem Regency Government at the Karangasem Regency Agriculture, Food and Fisheries Service, through an open doctoral promotion exam led by the Chairperson of the Session, Koprodi Doctoral Study Program (S3) in Animal Science, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ni Nyoman Suryani, M.Sc., (Tuesday, December 24, 2024).
The Promoter Team consists of Prof. Dr. Ir. Ni Nyoman Suryani, M.Si, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Suarna, M.S., and Dr. Ir. Anak Agung Ayu Sri Trisnadewi, M.P. Presenting 6 supporting lecturers and 4 invited academic lecturers. The dissertation that was successfully defended was entitled "Yield and Quality of Gliricidia sepium and Indigofera zollingeriana Greens Given Solid Organic Fertilizer and Rhizobium Inoculant on Post-Mining Land in Karangasem Regency". From the results of the dissertation research, a novelty was obtained: "At the same dose of organic fertilizer (40 tons ha-1) the growth, yield and quality of I. zollingeriana greens are better than G. sepium" explained Lanang Swastika. The purpose of the research conducted was to analyze the effect of differences in organic fertilizer levels on the growth, yield and quality of G. sepium and I. zollingeriana greens planted in a greenhouse; analyzing the effect of different levels of rhizobium inoculants on the growth, yield and quality of green fodder of G. sepium and I. zollingeriana planted on post-rock mining land in Sebudi Village, Karangasem Regency; analyzing the role of G. sepium and I. zollingeriana plants in efforts to increase land fertility to increase vegetation cover of post-rock mining land in Sebudi Village, Karangasem Regency.
