MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF THE INDEPENDENT MBKM INTERNSHIP AT UPTD BIBD PTHPT BATURITI: EVALUATING DISCIPLINE AND ENHANCING STUDENT SKILLS
The Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activity for the Independent MBKM Internship was held on Monday, June 16, 2025, and was officially opened by the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, Dr. Ir. Gede Suarta, M.Si., IPM., at UPTD BIBD PTHPT Baturiti. He was accompanied by the MBKM Coordinator, Dr. Ir. Ni Luh Gde Sumardani, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM., and the Head of the Independent MBKM Internship Program, Ir. Ni Putu Yundari Melati, S.Pt., M.Pt., and warmly welcomed by the Head of UPTD BIBD PTHPT Baturiti, drh. Ngakan Putu Oka Susanta, M.Si., along with his staff.
This activity aimed to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the student internship implementation, particularly in aspects of discipline, work ethics, and mastery of technical skills in the field. Through open dialogue and direct observation, the evaluation team sought to ensure that the Independent MBKM Program is running optimally in supporting students’ professional competencies for real-world work settings.
In his remarks, Dr. Gede Suarta emphasized the importance of synergy between higher education institutions and industry partners in producing excellent and competitive graduates. “Programs like MBKM are a tangible realization of the link and match between universities and industry needs,” he stated.
Meanwhile, drh. Ngakan Putu Oka Susanta welcomed the Monev activity and expressed appreciation for the students’ learning enthusiasm throughout the internship program. “We have seen positive progress in the students, both in terms of discipline and technical capability,” he said.
The results of this evaluation are expected to serve as a reflection for improving the Independent MBKM Program going forward, as well as a motivation for students to continue developing themselves throughout their internship period.
