Signing of Cooperation Agreement between Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University and Jaga Alam Sejahtera Foundation

Bukit Jimbaran, March 3, 2025 – The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University officially established a partnership with Jaga Alam Sejahtera Foundation through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) held at AA Building, 2nd Floor, Bukit Jimbaran Campus. This collaboration aims to support research and innovation development in the utilization of seaweed, particularly in the field of animal husbandry.

The event was attended by faculty leaders, representatives from Jaga Alam Sejahtera Foundation, lecturers, and students. Both parties signed the agreement, which encompasses several key aspects, including:

  • Quality testing of seaweed cultivated by Jaga Alam Sejahtera Foundation.

  • Research on the utilization of seaweed as animal feed to enhance livestock production efficiency.

  • Joint training, education, and publication of research findings.

  • Community service as a form of implementation of research results in real-life applications.

The Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, expressed that this collaboration represents a strategic step in developing feed innovations based on local resources and strengthening partnerships between academics and practitioners in the fields of animal husbandry and marine resources.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Jaga Alam Sejahtera Foundation conveyed her hopes that this partnership would provide benefits for both parties and the wider community, especially in optimizing seaweed potential as a sustainable resource.

Through this cooperation agreement, it is expected that the synergy between academia and industry will be further enhanced, supporting the advancement of science and the improvement of community welfare through innovations in the animal husbandry and marine sectors.
