Denpasar, April 10, 2025 – The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University held a handover ceremony for students participating in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Mandiri Internship Program in collaboration with the Bali Provincial Office of Agriculture and Food Security on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Office's headquarters in Denpasar.
The event began with a welcome speech from the Head of the Division of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health, Nurul Hadiristiyantri, S.Pt., M.P., who warmly welcomed the implementation of the student internship under the department’s supervision. This was followed by remarks from the Acting Head of the UPTD BIBDPTHPT Baturiti, Drh. Ngakan Putu Oka Susanta, M.Si., who stated that rules and procedures, especially regarding biosecurity, had been prepared. He expressed his hope that this year’s internship would run better than the previous year, with students demonstrating greater discipline and responsibility throughout the program.
The MBKM Mandiri Coordinator, Dr. Ir. Ni Luh Gde Sumardani, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM, in her report, explained that the internship would take place from April 9 to June 26, 2025, and involve five students. The Internship Program Leader, Ir. Ni Putu Yundari Melati, S.Pt., M.Pt., also presented the technical aspects of the field implementation, including students' obligations to submit reports, fill in their logbooks, and the importance of having a mentor/facilitator to assist students throughout the internship.
The official handover of students was conducted by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Dr. Ir. Gede Suarta, M.Si., IPM, who stated in his speech, “We express our sincere gratitude to the Bali Provincial Office of Agriculture and Food Security, especially UPTD BIBDPTHPT Baturiti, for accepting our students. We hope they will take this opportunity seriously, uphold the good name of the university, and complete all activities with discipline and responsibility.”
This activity is an important part of the MBKM program implementation and is expected to continue supporting the improvement of graduate quality through contextual learning based on direct field experience.
