FAPET UNUD COLLABORATES WITH FAPET UNRAM, AMANCIO NICOLAS AGRI-TOURISM ACADEMY INC., AND UNTL TIMOR LESTE TO HELD INTERNATIONAL SERVICE

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University (Fapet Unud) is holding the 2023 International Service with the theme "Potential for Cattle Development in Mandalika as Agrotourism". This activity is a collaboration between the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unud and the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Mataram University (Unram), Amancio Nicolas Agri-Tourism Academy Inc. Philippines, Faculty of Agriculture, Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa'e (UNTL) Timor Leste. The service was carried out at the Setia Kawan Livestock Farmers Group, Serenang Hamlet, Mertak Village, Pujut sub-district, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (Saturday, December 9, 2023). The implementation of the service was chaired by Dr. Ir. A. A. A. Sri Trisnadewi, M.P., and with participants from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unud lecturers (22 people), farmer breeders (50 people), PPL (2 people), Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unram lecturers (12 people).

Presenting 4 resource persons who are qualified in their fields, namely: Noemi C. Lianco, B.Sc., M.Sc. (Cattle Farming as Potential for Agrotourism), Ir. Zeferino Viegas Tilman, L.Agp., M.Appl.Sc., IPM. (Profitable Cattle Farm Management), Dr.Ir. Then Wira Pribadi, M.Sc. (Development of Cattle in Mandalika), and Dr. Ir. Budi Rahayu Tanama Putri, SPt., M.M., IPU., ASEAN.Eng (Agrotourism Concept to Increase Farmers' Income).

In his speech, the Chairman of the Committee expressed his gratitude to all parties who had played a role in ensuring that the service could be carried out and the purpose of carrying out this service. "So this service is a collaborative service between 4 faculties from 3 countries, first from Udayana University, then from Matara University, Amancio Nicolas Agri-Tourism Academy Inc. Philippines, and Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa'e. This is a very important thing because we can work together even in a relatively short time. "To all parties, I would like to thank you, and I hope that this collaboration can continue," said Dr. Trisnadewi. Then what the resource person gives will also benefit the members of the Setia Kawan Livestock Farmers group. "So we chose the theme because this is a tourist area and Mandalika is currently popular, so we hope that with this activity the potential of livestock can be raised, then the potential of livestock, especially cattle, will also be able to support tourism in Mandalika," he continued.At the end of the event, the minutes of activity implementation were signed and certificates were handed over to the resource persons.
