Exploring Post-Harvest Collaboration between the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, and BRIN through a Virtual Meeting

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, explored potential collaboration opportunities with the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) in the field of post-harvest technology through a virtual meeting held on Monday, 13 April 2026. Conducted via Zoom Meeting, the event was attended by faculty leaders, academic staff, and research representatives from both institutions.

The meeting aimed to discuss potential collaboration in the development of post-harvest technologies and innovations, particularly within the livestock sector. Key areas of discussion included improving the quality of livestock products, enhancing processing efficiency, and strengthening product competitiveness through the application of research-based technologies and innovations.

In its remarks, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry emphasized the importance of synergy between higher education institutions and national research agencies in supporting the downstream implementation and utilization of research outcomes. Such collaboration is expected to generate practical innovations capable of delivering tangible benefits to the livestock industry and society.

Representatives from BRIN highlighted the agency’s commitment to fostering partnerships with higher education institutions, particularly in applied research and technology transfer. BRIN also welcomed the initiative of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, to jointly develop research and community service programs in the post-harvest sector.

Through this meeting, both parties agreed to continue discussions by formulating a more concrete collaboration plan, including the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the future. This partnership is expected to serve as a strategic step toward advancing innovation- and technology-based livestock development in Indonesia.
