Faculty of Animal Husbandry Explores Collaboration with ITAFoS UPM for the 6th ICAPFS in 2027
The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, conducted an official visit to the Institute of Tropical Agriculture and Food Security (ITAFoS) to explore international collaboration opportunities for the organization and joint implementation of The 6th International Conference on Animal Production for Food Sustainability (ICAPFS) in 2027. The visit took place from 18–20 May 2026 at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
The delegation from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, was led by the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Ir. Budi Rahayu Tanama Putri, S.Pt., M.M., IPU., ASEAN Eng., APEC Eng., accompanied by the Coordinator of the Information and Cooperation Management Unit (UPIKS), Dr. Ir. Eny Puspani, S.Pt., M.Si., IPU., and the Coordinator of the Business Unit, Dr. Ni Made Witariadi, S.Pt., M.P.
The visit aimed to strengthen international academic networks while exploring collaborative opportunities in education, research, scientific publications, and the development of sustainable international conferences. One of the key agendas of the meeting was discussing potential collaboration in organizing the 6th International Conference on Animal Production for Food Sustainability (ICAPFS) in 2027, with the goal of engaging a broader network of academics, researchers, and industry practitioners from around the world.
During discussions with representatives of ITAFoS UPM, both institutions explored opportunities for cooperation in tropical agricultural research, food security, and sustainable livestock production. The visit also served as an important platform for expanding strategic partnerships between the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, and internationally recognized higher education institutions.
The Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, Dr. Ir. Budi Rahayu Tanama Putri, stated that this collaboration is expected to enhance the quality and international impact of future ICAPFS conferences while strengthening the faculty’s presence within global academic networks.
"We hope that this exploratory collaboration will serve as the foundation for a sustainable partnership, particularly in the organization of the 6th ICAPFS in 2027, as well as in the development of joint academic and research activities," she remarked.
Through this initiative, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, continues to demonstrate its commitment to institutional internationalization and the expansion of global partnerships in the fields of animal husbandry, sustainable livestock production, and food security.
