Faculty of Animal Husbandry Showcases KPLA Innovation at INNOVERSE 2025

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, took part in the Innovation Universe (INNOVERSE) 2025, organized by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Udayana University on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Living World Mall, Denpasar. This event was part of an exhibition and innovation forum themed “Where Innovation Meets the World”, featuring outstanding research-based products developed by Udayana University’s academic community.

On this occasion, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry showcased the innovative product KPLA (Poultry Waste Protein Concentrate), a research outcome by Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Tirta Ariana, MS., IPU., ASEAN Eng. This product was developed as a solution for processing poultry farm waste into high-protein feed ingredients that can be utilized for livestock, particularly pigs.

KPLA serves as a tangible representation of sustainable livestock-based innovation and the circular economy. By utilizing poultry waste that has so far been underused, this product provides both economic value and environmental benefits for the livestock industry.

Through this participation, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry demonstrates a strong commitment to supporting the downstream process of research towards commercialization, while also strengthening cross-sector innovation networks. This event also serves as a strategic platform to introduce Udayana University innovators’ works to the public and potential industry partners.
