Faculty of Animal Husbandry Students Showcase BIO-Safe Innovation at Entrepreneur Hub 2025

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, took part in the Udayana University Entrepreneur Hub 2025 held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Widya Sabha Building, Jimbaran Campus. This event was a collaboration between Udayana University, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, PT Pos Indonesia, and the Bali Provincial National Crafts Council (Dekranasda), under the theme “Impactful Campus, Empowered Entrepreneurs.”

One of the young entrepreneurs featured in the Local Champion Entrepreneur Pitching session was a team of alumni from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry with their innovative product, BIO-Safe. This product is a natural livestock supplement and probiotic made from Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) and ginseng, developed by Kadek Agus Dwipayana and Ni Made Putri Arisa, alumni of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Class of 2021.

BIO-Safe was created as a solution to address livestock infectious diseases and the threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) caused by the use of Antibiotic Growth Promoters (AGP). The product also supports a circular economy by utilizing local plantation waste from Bali as raw material. In addition to reducing the feed conversion ratio (FCR) and increasing average daily gain (ADG), BIO-Safe also empowers local farmers through training and mentoring on its application.

The participation of Faculty of Animal Husbandry alumni in this Entrepreneur Hub demonstrates a tangible contribution to the development of sustainable livestock farming and the strengthening of innovation-based entrepreneurship.
