Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University Carries Out Community Service at Widya Guna Foundation Bali
Gianyar, May 29, 2025 – The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University (Fapet Unud) conducted a community service activity at the Widya Guna Foundation Bali as part of its commitment to the Tri Dharma of higher education, particularly in supporting community empowerment through livestock education. The event was attended by the Vice Dean I of Fapet Unud, Dr. Ir. Gede Suarta, M.Si., the Coordinator of the Research and Community Service Unit (UP2M), as well as lecturers and academic staff of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University.
The Fapet Unud delegation was warmly welcomed by the Chairman of the Widya Guna Foundation, Mr. Ketut Sadia, and his wife. In his welcome remarks, the Chairman expressed his appreciation and hope that this activity would not be a one-time visit but would develop into an ongoing partnership. He also shared his vision for the foundation to eventually produce organic eggs that could be regularly consumed by all participants of the foundation.
The community service program featured two guest speakers from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University. The first presentation on Poultry Nutrition Management was delivered by Dr. I Putu Ari Astawa, S.Pt., M.Si., who emphasized the importance of balanced nutrition to support poultry productivity and health. The second session on Poultry Management Practices was presented by Ir. I Wayan Wijana, M.P., who shared insights on efficient and environmentally friendly poultry rearing techniques.
Through this activity, it is hoped that the collaboration between the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University and the Widya Guna Foundation Bali will continue to grow, bringing tangible benefits to the community and supporting the development of organic livestock farming within the foundation’s environment.
