Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, Holds Collaborative Meeting with the Badung Regency Agriculture and Food Agency

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, held a collaborative meeting with the Badung Regency Agriculture and Food Agency on Monday, 9 March 2026. The meeting was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Dr. Ir. Dewi Ayu Warmadewi, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM., ASEAN Eng., accompanied by members of the faculty leadership team.

The meeting, which took place at the office of the Badung Regency Agriculture and Food Agency, aimed to enhance synergy and strengthen the commitment to collaboration between academia and local government, particularly in the development of the livestock sector and food security initiatives in Badung Regency.

During the meeting, the Dean emphasized that collaboration between higher education institutions and local governments is essential for advancing scientific knowledge, promoting innovation in livestock technologies, and enhancing human resource capacity in the field of animal husbandry. As an institution dedicated to education and research, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry is committed to contributing through educational activities, research programs, and community service initiatives that address regional needs and priorities.

The discussion also explored various opportunities for future collaboration, including livestock farmer assistance programs, strengthening livestock production systems, improving the quality and safety of animal-derived food products, and facilitating student involvement in internships and fieldwork programs throughout Badung Regency.

Representatives of the Badung Regency Agriculture and Food Agency warmly welcomed the visit and expressed their appreciation for the Faculty’s commitment to supporting the development of the agricultural and livestock sectors in the region. Both parties expressed hope that the collaboration would generate tangible benefits for livestock development and contribute to improving the welfare of local communities, particularly livestock farmers in Badung Regency.

This meeting represents a strategic step toward strengthening institutional relations between the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, and the Government of Badung Regency, while promoting sustainable and science-based development of the livestock sector.
