FAPET UNUD SUCCESSFULLY BECAME THE HOST OF THE XIII NATIONAL SEMINAR AND IV CONGRESS OF THE INDONESIAN ASSOCIATION OF FOOD PLANT SCIENTISTS (HITPI)

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry at Udayana University successfully hosted the XIIIth HITPI National Seminar and the IVth HITPI Congress, which raised the theme "SYNERGISTICITY OF SCIENCE AND TEXT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF GREEN FORAGE TOWARDS REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE". This event, which took place at the PRAMA SANUR BEACH HOTEL on 4-5 November 2024, became a forum for experts and practitioners in the livestock sector to discuss and share knowledge about the role of technology in the development of sustainable forage.

The XIIIth HITPI National Seminar and the IVth HITPI Congress were officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University on Monday, November 4 2024, at 08:30 WITA. This event was attended by prominent speakers, such as the Director General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, represented by drh. Nur Saptahidayat, Director of Feed, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Luki Abdullah, M.Sc., Agr. (Department of Nutrition Science and Feed Technology, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, IPB University) and Prof. Dr. Ir. Nafiatul Umami, S.Pt., Msi. (Department of Animal Nutrition and Forage Science, Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta and General Chair of the Indonesian Association of Forage Plant Scientists (HITPI).

The presence of the Chancellor of Udayana University, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) of Udayana University, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, Representative from the Bali Province Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), Head of the Provincial Agriculture and Food Security Service Bali, the Head of the Denpasar City Agriculture Service, HITPI Regional Administrators throughout Indonesia, and speakers from various regions of Indonesia added to the excitement of this event.

The XIIIth HITPI National Seminar and the IVth HITPI Congress lasted for two days. On the first day, a parallel seminar was held with the oral session and the IVth HITPI congress. On the second day, Tuesday, November 5 2024, the event closed with a field trip and commemoration of HITPI's XIV Anniversary. Through this series of busy and useful events, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University succeeded in showing its commitment to supporting the development of science and technology in the field of animal husbandry, especially in terms of developing forage to achieve regenerative agriculture.
