PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Visits the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University to Discuss Collaboration on Layer House Development
The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University (Fapet Unud) received a visit from PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia on Friday, 17 October 2025 at the Bukit Jimbaran Campus. The purpose of the visit was to discuss a planned collaboration between Fapet Unud and PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia for the development of a layer (egg-laying hen) housing facility within the Faculty.
The delegation from PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia was welcomed directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Dr. Ir. Dewi Ayu Warmadewi, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM., ASEAN Eng. In her remarks, the Dean expressed appreciation for the company’s initiative in supporting the advancement of animal husbandry education in Bali.
“We warmly welcome this collaboration. The involvement of PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia is a significant step toward developing more modern and applicative learning facilities for our students. We hope that the planned layer house will serve as a practical training site, a research facility, and a real example of the application of current poultry technology,” stated Dr. Dewi Ayu Warmadewi.
The meeting also discussed the design and facility requirements needed to support academic activities and student research, as well as efforts to strengthen synergy between the academic sector and the livestock industry.
Through this partnership, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University aims to establish an industry-standard layer housing facility that will function as a learning laboratory and a center for technological innovation in poultry science at the university level.
