Senate Meeting of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University Discusses Refinement of the 2025–2029 Strategic Plan

The Senate of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University held a meeting on Monday, 8 December 2025, at the Feed Crop Research and Development Meeting Room, Sudirman Campus. The meeting was attended by 12 of the 20 Senate members and focused on refining the Faculty Strategic Plan (Renstra).

All commissions provided key inputs to strengthen the strategic document. Commission I highlighted improvements in editorial clarity, document completeness, evidence-based historical writing, restructuring of the organizational chart without names and photographs, clearer problem identification based on SWOT analysis, and adjustments to performance indicators and the compilation of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) achievement tables.

Commission II reviewed the validity of academic data, including student numbers, GPA, study duration, and graduate waiting periods. The commission also proposed terminology adjustments, refinement of publication data, strengthening education strategies aligned with the faculty vision, and integrating tracer study results with a stronger emphasis on competency-based curricula.

Meanwhile, Commission III emphasized the re-verification of certified lecturer data, editorial improvements, the use of the term research downstreaming, and the strengthening of priority research areas. In addition to Bali cattle and the STS as flagship icons, the commission proposed adding other priority areas such as pig production. The commission also encouraged the acceleration of the Faculty STS development at the Bukit Campus.

All inputs from the commissions will be submitted to the Dean to support the refinement of the 2025–2029 Strategic Plan of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry. The meeting concluded with the expectation that the updated strategic plan will serve as a stronger strategic guideline for the Faculty’s future development.
