Udayana University and PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk Strengthen Strategic Collaboration in Education and Human Resource Development in Animal Husbandry
Denpasar, 12 November 2025 — Udayana University, through its Faculty of Animal Husbandry, convened a strategic meeting with PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPI) to strengthen collaboration in education, research, and human resource development in the field of animal husbandry.
The meeting was held at the PTNBH Meeting Room, Postgraduate Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, and was attended directly by the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D.
Representing PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia were Dr. (HC) Tjiu Thomas Effendy, S.E., MBA, President Director of PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia and Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Foundation Indonesia (CPFI), along with members of the management team.
From the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, attendees included the Dean, Vice Deans I, II, and III, the Administrative Coordinator, the Coordinator of the Innovation and Cooperation Development Unit (UPIKS), and the Head of the Faculty Business Unit.
This meeting served as a follow-up to the ongoing partnership between Udayana University and PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia, which has encompassed various initiatives such as professional training, industrial internships, competency-based curriculum development, and student mentorship in livestock entrepreneurship.
In his remarks, the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., stated, “We highly appreciate the consistent support of PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia in contributing to the enhancement of higher education quality, particularly in the field of animal husbandry. Collaboration between universities and industry is essential to produce graduates who are excellent, innovative, and ready to compete in the workforce.”
Meanwhile, Dr. (HC) Tjiu Thomas Effendy, S.E., MBA, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with academic institutions. “Charoen Pokphand Indonesia, through CPFI, remains committed to supporting the development of young generations through education, training, and mentoring, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of sustainable livestock and food sectors in Indonesia,” he stated.
This meeting is expected to serve as a strategic milestone in reinforcing collaboration between industry and academia toward the advancement of education, research, and the development of the national animal husbandry sector.
